Transparent and straightforward.
I keep fees simple, and I tell you what they are before you book. No surprise line items.
Free 15-minute consultation

A short conversation to hear what's bringing you in, answer your questions about how I work, and decide together whether to book an initial session. The sensible first step.
Individual session (50 min)
$160
Standard weekly or fortnightly sessions, by telehealth in PA, TX, or CA, or in-person in Pittsburgh from summer 2026.
Insurance & superbills.
I am an out-of-network provider. I do not bill insurance directly, but I provide a monthly superbill — an itemised statement with the codes your insurer needs — that you can submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Reimbursement varies widely. Many PPO and POS plans reimburse between 40% and 70% of the session fee after the out-of-network deductible is met. Before your first session I recommend calling your insurer and asking:
"What are my out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits? Is there a deductible, and how much of it is met? What percentage do you reimburse after the deductible? And is CPT code 90834 covered under my plan?"
Payment & cancellation.
Payment is due at the time of service. I accept credit and debit cards, including HSA and FSA cards, via a HIPAA-compliant payment processor. A valid card is kept securely on file and charged after each session.
Cancellation: 24 hours' notice, or the full fee applies. Life happens — tell me as early as you can and we'll usually find a way to reschedule inside the week without a charge.
What's included. What isn't.
Included
Brief between-session emails for scheduling or short clarifications. A monthly superbill. A written Good Faith Estimate before we begin. A copy of any short reflection work or handouts we use.
Not included
Court letters, fitness-for-duty evaluations, custody assessments, forensic reports, long clinical letters for third parties, or insurance pre-authorisations. These are specialised services I don't provide, and trying to stretch therapy to cover them usually serves neither the therapy nor the request.
Good Faith Estimate (No Surprises Act).
Under the federal No Surprises Act, you are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of the expected charges for your care before your first session, and at least annually thereafter. I provide this in writing before we begin. If your actual charges exceed the estimate by $400 or more, you have the right to dispute the bill. Ask me for a copy at any time.
Sliding scale.
I reserve a small number of reduced-fee slots for clients for whom the standard fee would be a genuine barrier, especially veterans, active-duty service members, and first responders. Please ask. I'd rather have the conversation than have you quietly decide not to reach out.
